Flagler Sportfishing Club

Becan Report: In like a lion out like a lamb…. I hope not. Maybe with March we will get off the weather roller coaster of wind and weird fronts and get back to some more predictable dare I say easier fishing. March is a busy month with the swap and shop, New Members Clinic and Count the Spots Tournament. March also contains two of my favorite days, daylight saving time starts again on the 12th and the beginning of Spring on the 20th. read more...

It won’t be long now till the runs of Spanish and blues, beaches full of pogie pods getting smashed by tarpon and kings. Members I ask you start making plans this month to fish the Spring Tournament in April. If you can’t fish it, tell everyone you see who may be interested and consider volunteering. I also ask that we all consider nominations for President, Vice President, Sgt. at Arms, and Weigh Master as May elections draw closer. Nominations will be accepted at the March and April Monthly Meetings.
Chris Davy, President

NMMA Dissatisfied with U.S. Court of Appeals

Washington, D.C. – October 22, 2014– The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) is disappointed by the decision released on Tuesday, October 21, 2014, of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit to dismiss the recreational boating industry’s challenge of the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) rule regarding misfueling mitigation plans surrounding the sale of E15. The case specifically challenged the EPA’s plans to prevent misfueling including the use of what NMMA believes is a highly inadequate pump warning label amongst other insufficient means. About

Welcome to the Flagler Sportfishing Club website. We are an extremely active club with around 200 family's (over 400 members). Our meeting place has changed recently to the VFW in Palm Coast. We meet once a month and have a lot of events and tournaments throughout the year. Some of our tournaments pay cash awards of up to 4,000.00 dollars while others are smaller but just as much fun! Check out the 2014 schedule by clicking the link on the upper right.

Our club meetings focus on educating our members on local fishing techniques as well as staying informed on local laws and regulations. Most meetings are attended by a speaker who is a professional fishing guide in our local area. If you are considering joining our club, stop by on the first Wednesday of any month (except December). See more info under the membership link above.

Our success is a direct result of our member participation, as well as our great sponsors. We encourage each and every member to come to our meetings, and participate in our tournaments. And don't forget, when your shopping in the area to visit our sponsors and thank them for their support..
